The End is Near

With the semester wrapping up so are all those to-do lists that I've been making but pushing off since August. That being said, it's been a hectic couple of weeks since my last post. So here is a quick recap!

The weekend after my initial post was a weekend full of Husker athletics. Since this is my last year in Nebraska, I am trying to soak up as much of Husker Nation as possible. To begin the weekend Sam, Amy, and I went to our last home football game as Graduate Students, which happened to be Amy's first game EVER!
Unfortunately, the Huskers couldn't pull out a win but we still enjoyed checking off plenty of traditions throughout the game. One of the largest traditions that happens at football games is the balloon release after the first touchdown. We went into the game with goals to accomplish:
1. Get a Balloon!
2. Have great seats... by the band! So we can dance!
However, while at the game we had by far the best experience at a game in the past two years. Not only did we accomplish both of our goals but we got to participate in pre-game activities like helping the student section hold a huge N flag across the entire student section.

The next part of the Husker filled weekend was attending the Nebraska vs. Michigan volley game with my dear friend Ashley.
Thankfully, the volleyball team did a better job at securing the win on senior night. Wrapping up my Husker filled day.

Shortly after that weekend was Thanksgiving break. I was able to return home and visit family and see my fiancĂ© for the first time in over a month! While at home I was able to take my fiancĂ© on his first ever coffee date! He is not a huge fan of coffee but has a strong love for egg nog. Because of this he was over the moon excited when he found out Starbucks had an egg nog latte that I had not informed him about.
Unfortunately, the egg nog latte still tasted like coffee and his hate for coffee outweighed his love for egg nog. Regardless, we were able to spend time together and he was able to experience what the world of lattes has to offer!

During the remainder of break I consumed way too much food and was not as productive as I should have been but I am almost in the clear with the semester wrapping up this Friday and I am home free! Winter break is full of excitement with Andrew graduating college this Saturday, traveling to TX for a friend's wedding, and spending time with our families. Break will be filled with celebrations, friends and family, good food, and it wouldn't be complete without a glass of wine!
